Vancouver 2010 Olympics

I wanted to show my readers a cool final medal count chart for all the coutries :) I really enjoyed the olympics, and even though none of this is technology related, I wanted to share it. There also might be a blog created by us too covering the upcoming Olympics in London in 2012, and Russia in 2014. So watch for that!

FARMVILLE GOES HOLLYWOOD?!

I noticed that farmville released a secret new California Themed item! It's the Hollywood sign everyone has seen, but made virtual to use in Farmville! This item is awesome, and costs around 10,000 Coins. I hope you buy it since it won't be here long :)

Farmville Yellowstone items!

Today at about 12 noon I was informed that farmville had added new limited edition "Yellowstone" themed items to there market! These items are pretty cool and include "Old Faithful, Large Rocks, Wood, and even a new animal "Elk."(see picture below) Also, some cool new Winter themed Deluxe Lodge, and Vacation Home type buildings. These new items and any limited edition items are always spectacular, but the only thing I don't like is the items cost lots of $Farmcash$. You only get 1$ Farmcash per level you advance, which can make it a bit difficult. When you apply that to your level it isn't much, and not everybody wants to pay to get large amount of Farmcash. However, these Limited Edition items add a new fun addition to the game, and I'm always a fan of new themes to see if I like them :) These items are very cool I will admit, and I can't wait to see what new surprises FarmVille has in store for us!

iTunes 10 Billion Song Download!

Today February 24, 2010 Apple announced it's 10 Billionth song download! The winner is going to be announced in the near future.

Farmville Update 2/24/2010

As I woke up to harvest some crops on Farmville, I noticed that Farmville had released a new series of California themed items! The previous Lunar(Chinese New Years) theme series items had expired, and this made room for a highly anticipated new series. Some of the items include 2 new Crops; White Grapes, and Golden Poppies. Also, so animals include a Bear Cub, and Valley Quail. A new Mystery Box arose as well, but these items that you get with it for know are unknown. Also the Mafia Wars themed "Hot Rod Tractor" which plows 9 land plots was available for a cheap 45,000 Coins. Originally you had reach level 10 on Mafia Wars However you no longer have to do that. I bought the Tractor myself and it saves me tons of time. There is also an updated navigation bar too. Anyway, hope you enjoy these new items and we'll keep you informed on any news Farmville related!

Official Apple YouTube Channel?!

I made an amazing discovery the other day I wanted to show my visitors I never even knew existed! APPLE INC. HAS AN OFFICIAL YOUTUBE CHANNEL! I know I was surprised too! It's crazy when I saw the channel was created June, 21, 2005! Lots of companies like Google have created YouTube channels, and I am surprised at how unknown this YouTube channel is! I'm pretty sure its official, but anyway it's pretty cool for me because I enjoy what Apple has done for the Technology world, and I wanted to share that with you guys! New iPhone Ads?!

While looking and surfing around on the Apple website I saw Apple has released a couple new ads to be shown on the television. There all advertising the iPhone 3GS , but I believe a very smart move for the iPhone. First what really got my attention was the ad using the iPhone from a woman's perspective! It showed a Mother of a baby recording it's first steps, sending it the grandma and grandpa then calling using a conference call to talk to all 3 of them at once! I think now the iPhone appealed to a whole new audience with that ad.

I also saw another ad Apple created, and showed how someone could use the iPhone if there traveling with the family. It shows many uses a mom can use it for if there on a family trip! This is a very creative ad, and shows the iPhones overwhelming potential!

MAC vs. PC which is better?!

I know many bloggers, buisness men and computer

lovers alike have constantly debated the age old question we have all heard im sure, "MAC vs. PC." So which one is better? Myself being an Apple fan, I hopefully can honestly write this article un-biasly. Though I do favor Macintosh computers (I have a MacBook Pro), I think I have the answer the question millions of people are racking ther brain to find. I look at both brands of computers at having specific purposes in the world as they have evolved over the years. The first "PC" computer was released in 1978; same year as the first Macintosh, so both computers were released close to the same time. However, many people try to favor one computer over the other, and my opinion is I think no computer will ever be superior to the other. There will become a point where Mac's will control 50% of the computer market, and PC's 50% as well. *We could se this statistic with a couple years. *I believe this because; One, PC's are more popular. They are the more known computer in the business world because of there incredible software that enables businesses to run smoothly and efficiently. This I think is the reason PC's are so popular is the business software people in business cubicles use to sort paperwork and creates many important documents best suits the business standards. Businesses will always be around and this is the only software able to keep these companies running, so this is a major reason PC's control most of the computer market. In addition, the use of "Microsoft Office" is loved by teachers from around the world making it a school standards to a certain extent. Any school work teachers at my schools have made use do is through Microsoft Office. All the business aspect put aside PC's software goes downhill from there. There creative software; video editing, picture editing, and all other creative software is very primitive compared to Apple. Apple offers a different perspective on the computer industry. They are all about user experience, satisfaction, and ease

of use. They provide the best software for professional photographers, musicians, and filmmakers and have the best software to put in a consumer notebook. They strive for simplicity and put a sort of "face" to their computers. They want a computer to be personal to someone, as well as offering powerful applications, and adding just plain "fun" to the whole computer experience. While on the other hand, Microsoft is all about getting tasks done and thats about it. Besides the price of the computers, that is the main focus of the 2 types of computer. This brings me to a point where the user can make a choice, what it boils down to is a matter of preference. If your the type of person who likes to use a computer for getting jobs done, and getting something at a cheap price that's one side of the spectrum. Other the other side, you can enjoy the entire computer experience with a Macintosh. Though it costs a little bit more money, (I myself saved for about year). I enjoy the experience of using it, its fun, the software is easier to use, and I love using my computer as a companion to my everyday life. I don't believe in the end there will be a so called "winner" just the 2 brands of computers cover both sides of the spectrum, so if you came here for an answer on which computer all I can offer is advice. I say just do your research and see what each brand of computers offers. See if it fits what your looking for, and what you need in a computer. Both companies are great, and have been creating computers and software for about 30 years so they know what there doing. I am being very general, and not nit-picking the fine details, so feel free to comment on any key points I missed or you want me to add tot his article.

iPad is here!

After many long months of anticipation, rumors, and many weird photoshoped pictures of so called "iTablets or iSlates," it was confirmed as of January 27, 2010 with the official name "iPad" Apple unveiled there very own Tablet computer! This computer is called by many a "Giant iPhone," but it has many new advanced features only Apple can create. With the release of the iPad comes many new features such as a revolutionary new way to read books, play games, surf the internet, and check and manage you e-mail. First off the basic specs for this model include a 1Ghz Apple A4 chip, 9.7 in. diagonal LED-backlit touch screen, as well as being 0.5 and inch thick, 10 hour battery, and Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities. It's base price is 499$ being released late March and the price increases depending on how much storage you choose to buy with it. I think this new device with revolutionize schools by saving paper and making everything digital, and the teachers and students won't have to deal with heavy large books with the new "iBook" Store. I think as the iPad gets more popular Apple with put as many; text, children, story, and chapter books in the "iBook" Store.

They push this as a revolutionizing feature they will push to have this machine hopefully replace books all together. apple will hope to succeed to grab any people searching for a device in between a smartphone, and laptop (whom the device is targeting). I think this device will become known for the 3rd party software being developed for the official release date. Apple will definitely utilize 3rd party software, and in the long run the iPad will be huge as more and more new and creative software comes out, just like the applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Not much is known about this device besides what Steve Jobs told us, so I think this device has potential we cant even begin to imagine! Just for the record, many people are comparing the iPad to the iPhone, and last time I checked the iPhone was the most selling phone of all time so I guess that isn't such a bad thing ;) We Will keep you updated on any news regarding the iPad.

"Snake" game on Facebook!

While on Facebook lately, I stumbled across a rather addictive and entertaining game that I would like to share! It comes from the company "MindJolt" and involves you controlling a blue snake like creature, and requires you to collect red dots to extend your overall score and snake body length. The game can get very difficult because every time you collect a red dot, it extends you body a small amount. The challenge of the game comes because you can't touch the walls of the course or your body as well. You have to be able to position your snake to collect the red dots, and continue moving along the course. The games "addictiveness" comes as you try to beat your old score, and you friends! It's very fun because it's such a simple game, but the game always makes you feel like you can do better. I actually have first hand experience with this competition among my friends, because we would feverously check, play, and train to have the best score among all our friends. You can also play for the Top Global High Score of all of Facebook as well. This game is very fun, and adds to many of the best games there are on Facebook. I highly advise this game to play if your bored or would like a good friendly competition among your friends!

Awaiting iTunes 10 Billion Song Download!

Many fans of the iPod & iTunes Music Industry are eagerly awaiting Apples 10,000,000,000 (10 Billionth) Song Download! This will be such a huge milestone for Apple Inc, iPod and iTunes industry alike. Since the first iPod released October 23, 2001 there have been 17 types of iPods; 6 generations of the iPod Classic, 2 generations of the iPod mini, 4 generations of the iPod Nano, 2 generations of the iPod Shuffle, and 3 generations of the iPod Touch. To show Apple's appreciation for this amazing achievement, iTunes is offering a 10,000$ iTunes Store gift card to anyone who buys the 10 Billionth Song! MacBook Pro Update WATCH!

People and Apple Fanboys alike are eagerly waiting for the highly anticipated MacBook Pro update! Since the new aluminum-unibody enclosure MacBook Pro released in October 2008, they have been an amazing success. They were a higher level laptop meant to accompany the original White polycarbonate MacBook with a few advanced features. The competition is now growing because new "Intel-Core 2 Duo i3-i7 processors" are the new industry standard among the latest laptop computers. During the Super Bowl, the company creating the processor chips "Intel" showed 2-3 commercials advertising these new chips. This left the door wide open with anticipation amoung Apple's Laptops to see if these would be included in an update because many new Sony Vaio, and other brands of laptops now included these new chips. Many people suspect the update will come during the summer at Apple's annual WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) in San Francisco during June 28-July 2. Other than processors upgrades many people suspect iLife 10' and iWork 10' will be new software upgrades as well. Now we will wait and see, but you can expect "Corlito Tech News" will be blogging it first!

Doodle Jump Application Review

Description: 
In the game "Doodle Jump" created by the company Lima Sky, the purpose of this game is to guide a 4-legged creature called a Doodler, up an infinite amount of platforms without falling off the screen. During gameplay, gamers tilt the device from side to side to move “Doodler” creature in the desired direction. Players can get a short boost from various objects, such a propeller hats, rockets, springs or trampolines. There are also monsters that the Doodler has to shoot or jump on to eliminate. The overall goal of the game is to jump as high as possible, and try to become #1 on the world high scores list!

Final Verdict:
 All in all, this game provides a great pick up and play potential, and is a great game for kids due to it’s simplicity. The constant change of “Aliens/Creatures” is great to keep the gamer on there toes at all times! This is a must have for all iPod Touch/iPhone gamers being called “The most addicting game in the App Store.” Being only 0.99$ the cheap price and great 2D graphics, is definitely an all around great game!
